Core Manufacturing

Manufacturing ERP for businesses
that build from components up.

For manufacturers who assemble finished products from raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies, the hardest part is rarely any single step — it is keeping all of them connected. Boltzmann Enterprise is a cloud-enabled, workflow-driven ERP for the core manufacturing industry, built entirely on open-source technology for discrete and assembly manufacturers. It manages the full production lifecycle — from the moment a customer order is booked, through material requirements planning, procurement, production, and quality, to dispatch and analytics — as one connected system. Designed for Indian manufacturing operations, with GST compliance, costing, and statutory reporting built into the same connected workflow.

Cloud & On-Premise

Your infrastructure, your decision. Boltzmann Enterprise runs on your own servers when data control and on-site access matter most, and on Boltzmann's managed cloud when you would rather the infrastructure be handled for you.

Workflow-Based

A manufacturing floor does not run on generic business logic. Boltzmann Enterprise is configured around your routing, approval chains, make-or-buy rules, and quality gates rather than forcing your operation to fit a fixed template.

Open-Source Technology

Built entirely on open-source technology: no per-seat or per-module licensing fees that grow as you add users or plants, a codebase you can audit, and no lock-in to a single vendor.

Built for Indian Manufacturing

GST is native to the system, not bolted on afterwards. Purchase orders, goods receipts, delivery challans, invoicing, and statutory reporting all work the way Indian manufacturing actually operates.

Stage by Stage

Eight Stages, One Connected Flow

From the moment an order is booked to the day the numbers land on a dashboard, every stage below feeds the next — sharing the same data, the same system, and the same source of truth.

01

Sales Order Management

Every job begins with a customer order, and the accuracy of everything downstream depends on capturing that order correctly. Boltzmann Enterprise registers each order against verified customer data, schedules it against available capacity, and references the bill of materials from the outset — so material planning starts from a solid foundation.

Customer verification — check credit limits, order history, and account standing before an order is booked
Order booking — record complete specifications, pricing, delivery dates, and special requirements
Job scheduling — sequence production against order priority, capacity, and delivery commitments
Specification finalisation — lock technical, quality, and manufacturing parameters for each order
02

Raw Material Allocation

Once an order is booked, the system works out exactly what is needed to fulfil it. Material Requirements Planning evaluates current stock, open orders, and lead times to calculate precise requirements — and determines how each requirement should be met.

Material requirements planning (MRP) — calculate exact material needs from production schedules, stock levels, and lead times
Finished item planning — plan production of finished goods against orders, forecasts, and inventory targets
Assembly and sub-assembly definitions — maintain multi-level bills of materials so complex builds are planned accurately
Operation masters — define standard operations, routings, and process steps used across planning
03

Purchase / In-house / Outsource

Not every requirement is met the same way. Some materials are purchased, some components are produced in-house, and some work is outsourced to contract labour or subcontractors. Boltzmann Enterprise generates the right instruction for each and receives everything back through a single goods-receipt process.

Purchase orders — raise and manage external procurement with vendor, pricing, and delivery tracking
In-house requisitions — route work to internal departments instead of external vendors
Labour orders — issue and track outsourced or contract-labour work against specific jobs
Goods receipt (GRN) — record incoming materials against orders, updating inventory and forming the basis for payment
04

Quality Assurance & Rework

Quality is checked at the points where it matters — on incoming materials and during production — not only at the end. When something fails, it is routed back for rework and re-entry into the process rather than passing downstream.

Purchase quality inspection — check purchased materials and components before they enter production
Production quality checks — verify manufacturing standards and process compliance during the build
Out-of-specification handling — manage non-conforming items through rework and corrective action, with full traceability back into production
05

Inventory Management

Every material movement — inward, issue, return, and adjustment — is registered as it happens, so stock records reflect reality rather than last week's count. Accurate inventory is what makes planning reliable and costing correct.

Store requisitions — raise and approve requests for materials needed on the shop floor
Store issue — issue materials against approved requisitions with a complete audit trail
Stock adjustment — reconcile system records against physical counts and process exceptions
Issue and receipt analysis — review movement trends to support planning and control decisions
06

Production & Assembly

This is where materials become product. Work orders and job cards drive the build, operation by operation, with in-process testing confirming quality before each job progresses. Materials not consumed return cleanly to stores.

Job card creation — issue detailed job cards with work instructions, material requirements, and quality specifications
Pre-assembly preparation — stage subcomponents ahead of final assembly to keep the line moving
Job test reports — capture in-process test results against each job card before it advances
Store returns — return unused or excess materials to stores with full traceability
07

Job Dispatch & Logistics

Once a job clears final inspection, it is prepared for dispatch with complete documentation. Delivery challans and invoices are generated against the order, and payment is tracked through to confirmation — closing the loop that began with the sales order.

Final inspection — verify quality, completeness, and specification compliance before dispatch
Job card completion — close out jobs once production and inspection are done, releasing items for dispatch
Delivery challan and invoice generation — produce dispatch and billing documents tied to the order
Payment confirmation — track and confirm customer payments against invoices raised
08

Analytics & Reporting

With every stage recorded in one system, management sees the whole operation from live data rather than compiled spreadsheets. Role-based dashboards and reports turn the day's transactions into the numbers each team needs to make decisions.

Role-based KPI dashboards — live views for sales, production, quality, and finance
Order-to-dispatch cycle time — and on-time delivery tracking
Inventory turns, rework rate — and quality yield reporting
Configurable summary views — for management review

People

Human Resources

The people who run the floor are managed in the same system that runs production. Boltzmann Enterprise handles the employee lifecycle from joining to exit, and links attendance directly to payroll — so what is recorded on the floor flows straight into what employees are paid, with no separate system to reconcile.

Employee registration — maintain complete employee records from the point of joining
Attendance integration — capture attendance directly from punching machines connected to the ERP
Payroll calculation — work out salary from recorded attendance, including overtime where applicable
Joining and resignation letters — generate joining letters on entry and resignation letters on exit
Inter-department transfers — move employees from one department to another with records updated across the system
Targets and incentives — set year-on-year targets for every employee, and calculate incentives and increments against performance
Salary advances — issue advances and adjust them automatically against future salary
Finance

Finance & Accounting

Because every transaction across purchasing, production, and dispatch already lives in the system, the books stay current without re-entry. Finance in Boltzmann Enterprise posts automatically from the operations that generate it, keeps GST compliant, and produces statutory statements directly from live data.

GST-compliant ledgers — post every GST transaction to the correct ledger as it happens
Payments in and out — capture all payment processing, both outgoing and incoming, within the ERP
Financial statements — generate Profit & Loss Statement, Trial Balance, and Balance Sheet directly from the application
